Saint-Maclou sis close to the cathedral church, in a part of the town that
is still one
of the most beautiful part of the town even if it was partly bombed down
during WWII
The Saint-Maclou church is one of the most beautiful example of the flamboyant
gothic style.
It is famous for its five porches as well as its wooden door. Its steeple,
that was added later
is far less beautiful.
The high nave and all the woodworks suffered a lot during the WWII bombings.
The organ chest was built in the XVIth century and is sustained by two
Corinthian
collumns sculpted by Jean Goujon.
Close to the Saint-Maclou church we can admire the former presbytery.
