Hôtel-Dieu
The Hôtel-Dieu

The Hôtel-Dieu hospital was built outside the Rouen town walls, and around 1650 it was used to
rally the plague victims. Gustave Flaubert was born in 1821 in that hospital where is father was
working as a chief-surgeon. You can find a Medecine museum in one of the wing of that building.

La Madeleine
La Madeleine

The chapel of the Hôtel-Dieu, La Madeleine, was built in 1781 in a neo-antique style.
