Rouen zénith
After WWII, the architecture in Rouen had to face a strong challenge : rebuild quickly a huge part of the city. This has not always been an easy task, and it has not always be done in a fancy way. At the end of the XXth century though, many ambitious projects were launched.
The Rouen zénith is one of these projects. It is a multipurpose hall, that can contain from 2500 to 7000 people. It has been designed by the swiss architect Bernard Tschumi. Inaugurated in 2001, its double steel shell leads into a huge steel and concrete hall.
